I'm new here and to Studio one. Have been using Emagic's Logic on my PC since 2000 and it's finally time for a change! I've downloaded the Studio one Professional DEMO version and activated it as DEMO but can't seem to have my VST effects working. I use BFD2, Bosendorfer, Nexus, FM8 and various 3rd party comps, eq's.

- VST and AU and Rewire Support Add-On for Studio One 2? I'm trying to download the VST plug-in support from the website but it says I don't have a valid product key that it's compatible with. I do indeed have my S1 software registered.

- If you do not see the 'VST Plug-ins' tab under the Locations tab, then you want to make sure that you have activated Studio One Professional or you have installed the VST, AU, and ReWire support add-on if you are running the 'Artist' version of Studio One. Press the 'Reset Blocklist' button while you are in this window.

| Sorry, you can't add VST functionality to Prime. | Assuming you're on very tight budget and you don't mind waiting a bit longer one little hint: license for S1 Artist can be obtained cheaply from second-hand market (I saw it as low as $10) or you can get one when you purchase Presonus hardware. | can't add vst plugins in my studio one artist. i have no vstplugins folder in my studio one directory and there is no vst in locations in general settings. what should i do? |

| I saw an AD or review somewhere, and I can't find it now, that was apparently a misprint, where it said or suggested that some of the add-ons worked with Prime. I now chalk that up to being early information that was just incorrect. I think it was a vendor site or training site like S1E or something. |

| I won't unfairly say it was them, don't recall tbh. I do remember seeing it somewhere and thinking... 'Ok, that's a surprise.' Not unusual though as multiple websites try to be the first to get news out. Wherever it was has probably been edited later since I can't find it. |

| Correct, however you have options to expand Artist with the Mai Tai Synth and a few other propriety plugins, but if you want VST and all the other benefits, Pro s the best way to go. (Artist Includes a Rewire / VST addon you can purchase however). Should you want to upgrade, from Artist 3 to Professional 3, well that would be £209.00 on top of the £131.70 for both Studio One Artist 3 and the VST/Rewire plugin. You would essentially in the long run be paying an extra £60 more than the current cost of SO3 Pro which is £279. | When I saw the title of this thread I thought 'Oh no, another thread about no VST support for Artist'. It's so nice to answer that there is an add-on available that I believe is better than the prior 'Producer' product, in retrospect that is how it should have been done in the first place. OOPs, I hope that doesn't dredge up a sore spot with Producer users... My bad. | frederichodshon1 wrotei bought the VST support add on and still not seeing 3rd party VSTs. Make sure that you are running the latest version of S1 V3. Then make sure that you have properly activated the Artist version. I have seen issues where a user has either tried the 30 day demo, or have tried Prime, and the old shortcut still remains and opens up Prime. If that is the case, there is an upgrade utility in the help menu when on the start page. That will go out and grab the artist license from your account, and should get everything up and running for you. | 80 British pounds for vst and rewire support is an absolute joke. You can download Cakewalk by Bandlab for free and it has vst support. Ardour has it. Total rip off!! |
| The most cost effective way is to upgrade from Artist to Pro. Please add your specs to your SIGNATURE. Search the STUDIO ONE 4 ONLINE MANUAL. Access your MY.PRESONUS account. OVERVIEW of how to get your issue fixed or the steps to create a SUPPORT TICKET. Needs to include: 1) One Sentence Description 2) Expected Results 3) Actual Results 4) Steps to Reproduce.
